The 2024 kayak bass fishing season kicked off with the SEGKBF January Weekend Warrior Series. The Weekend Warrior series is a two-day tournament set on a designated weekend each month. And SEGKBF had a great turnout for this series.
Despite the colder weather moving across the states, we managed to have five anglers compete in the weekend series. For the two days that, the anglers were in the water, they were able to land a total of thirty-five bass.
Angler Dalton Albright – First Place
Dalton is an angler from the State of Florida. He fished both days of the tournament and was able to boat a total of 180.25 inches. During the first day of the tournament, he was able to bring in five bass totaling 88.00 inches. His second day on the water was a spectacular one. Dalton caught a Florida beast at 25.50 inches. Dalton was able to secure first place and big bass for this tournament.
Angler A Ram – Second Place
Ram is also another kayak angler from Florida. Ram fished both days and was able to boat a total of 149.25 inches. During the first day of the tournament, he came in at 75.25 inches. The second day was pretty close to his first-day totals, bringing in 74.00 inches. Ram’s biggest fish came on his first day of fishing hitting the Ketch Board at 19.00 inches. Ram secured second place with this two-day total.
Angler Bobby Standridge – Third Place
Bobby is an angler from North Georgia. He was fishing Lake Lanier which is known as a spotted bass fishery in Georgia. He fished both days and was able to come in third place with a total of 118.50 inches. And, to no surprise, most of the bass were spotted bass.
