For the month of March, SEGKBF decided to conduct an Anglers Choice Tournament. We made this decision because of the rising gas prices throughout the nation. Each angler agreed to this type of format. This allowed them to fish a public water lake closer to their homes without wasting a lot of gas.
There were just five anglers competing this month for the top spot. Four of us decided to fish Lake Mayer in Savannah, GA. The only other angler, Jon Smith, is from the middle Georgia area and decided to fish local lakes around the Macon Area.
A local hammer from Savannah, GA. boated five fish to come out on top for the Anglers Choice Tournament.
First Place
Cleveland Walker is a familiar face when you visit Lake Mayer in Savannah. Before everyone could get launched, he had already boated two measurable fish. This guy was surely using his skills to catch these finicky fish in Lake Mayer. Cleveland was able to finish the day with a total of 75.75 inches along with big bass honors. His biggest bass measured in at 17.25. Cleveland caught most of his fish on a Strike King Hybrid Hunter.

Second Place
Daniel Woodcock came in second place with a whopping total of 12.00 inches. He caught several other fish but most of them measured just under 12 inches. Most of the fish caught were on a green pumpkin Zoom Trick Worm fishing it texas rigged weightless style.
Unfortunately, We did not have a third-place finish for this tournament due to a lot of anglers catching undersized fish. The third place pot money will roll over into the next live series kayak tournament. It is being held at Ebenezer Creek located near Springfield,GA on April 16,2022.
